1 Timothy 3:16 And withouth controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God(Jesus) was manifest in the flesh,(refers to the Incarnation of Chrst.John1:1,14), justified in the Spirit,(divine vindication, endorsed, proved, and pronounced by the Holy Spirit).
Jesus is God! Trinitarians believe Jesus is God, we don't deny that at all.
Jesus is not though God, the Father, (first person in the Divine Trinity),
Here are some more proofs Jesus is not God, the Father.
Jesus called God My Father 57 times in the Word of God(Rev.2:7). How could He be His own God and Father and beget Himself?
The Father knew things Jesus did not know( Mk. 13:32, Acts 1:7)
Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, not the Father, Himself( Jn.5:17-35)
Jesus called the Father My God even after the resurrection(Jn.20:17, Rev. 3:12)
John the Baptist knew the Father, but he did not know the Son( Jn.1:31-34).
so look at those verses, tell me about them.
now it seems that you were trying to tell me by that verse (1 Tim.3:16), that Jesus is the Holy Ghost? If that is what you were trying to tell me then i got to correct you because that's wrong.
Holy Spririt not Jesus or the Father:
The Holy Spririt is another from both the Father and the Son(Jn.5:32:14:16-17,26; 15:26; 16:7-15).
He (the Holy Spirit) could not be sent from God until Christ was glorified, but would then be sent from both the Father and the Son(Jn.7:37-39; Acts 2:33-34)
The Son can be blasphemed with forgiveness possible; but if the Spirit be blasphemed no forgiveness is possible. This proves two distinct persons( Mt. 12:31-32; Mk.3:29-30; Lk 12:10).
The Holy Ghost came not to speak of or glorify Himself, but to speak of and glorify Jesus( Jn.16:7-15).
(John 14:9) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
If we want to know what God is like, we need only look at the Son. Jesus didn't say Im the Father, He said. He that hath seen me hath seen the Father. Here's an example, when people see me( derick) hopefully they see Christ. When you see Christ, you'll see the Father, but it doesn't mean Jesus is God the Father. (John 1:18) No man hath seen God at any time(means "No man has ever comprehended or experienced God at any time in all His fullness"); the only begotten Son(Jesus Christ and the Incarnation Who Alone could perfectly declare the Father), which is in the bosom of the Father(Proclaims the most intimate and loving fellowship with the Father), he hath declared(Gr.exogeomai, revealed, expounded; our "exegesis") him.
Reposting this, Learn what (Elohim) in the plural means
Deut 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
We must distinguish between two kinds of unity: "absolute" unity, and "Compound" unity. The expression " one man" conveys the thought of absolute unity, because we refer to one person. But when we read that man and his wife shall be one(Heb. Echad) flesh (gen 2:24), that is a "compound untiy", because a union of two persons is meant. compare also (ezra 3:1) Ezek.37:17); which scriptures employ the same word for "one" (Heb. Echad) as used in Deut. 6:4.
A different word ( Yachidh) is used to convey the idea of absolute oneness. (Gen.22:2;12) ( Amos 8:10) (Jer. 6:26) ( Zech.12:10) Prov. 4:3) Judges (11:34).
what kind of unity is referred to in Deut. 6:4? From the fact that the word "our God" is in the Plural ( Elohim), it is then a compound untiy. THe doctrine of the Trinity teaches the unity of God as a compound unity, including three Divine Persons united in eternal and essential unity.
I and my Father are one , how are they one? ONE IN UNITY,AND PURPOSE.
questions i want you to answer for me.
Prov. 30:4 Just tell me Who is Jesus' Son?
